Rebate Program
Utilities across Washington want to help pay for your lighting upgrades. Some utilities will pay upwards of 70% of the entire project cost. Utility companies are motivated to subsidize your lighting upgrade for three reasons:
They are required to produce 15% of their annual energy from renewable sources
The more energy they save through lighting upgrades, the fewer power plants they have to build
Energy efficiency is the cheapest source of electricity
How does the utility pay
Utilities pay based on the kwh you will save with new LEDs. This is calculated by taking the difference between your existing lighting load and the proposed load with new LEDs. The more inefficient your lights and the longer they stay on each day, the more money the utility will give you to upgrade your lights. It’s that simple!
Paperwork
Urban Energy Group completes 100% of the paperwork and communication with the utility. Our expertise in the field, relationship with utility engineers, and comprehensive knowledge of how the utility programs work allow us to guarantee that you will receive the maximum incentive. Each utility requires customers to fill out a lighting calculator excel sheet, complete inspections with engineers, and submit invoices upon project completion. This process can be tedious and confusing. Urban Energy Group handles all the paperwork and installs brand new LEDs with ZERO work on your end.
